1. Acceptance of Terms

By using Torrington Taxi’s services, website, mobile application, or booking through any channel, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our services.

2. Services Provided

Torrington Taxi provides transportation services including but not limited to:

  • Airport transfers (Bradley/Hartford)

  • Local taxi service in Torrington and Litchfield County

  • Long-distance transportation

  • Medical transportation

  • Corporate/VIP service

3. Booking and Cancellation

3.1 Booking:

  • Bookings can be made via phone (860-689-7752), website, or mobile app

  • All bookings are subject to vehicle and driver availability

  • We recommend booking airport transfers at least 2-3 hours before flight departure

3.2 Cancellation Policy:

  • Local rides: Free cancellation up to 30 minutes before scheduled pickup

  • Airport transfers: Free cancellation up to 3 hours before scheduled pickup

  • No-shows or cancellations within 30 minutes of pickup: $15 fee

  • For prepaid bookings, refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days

4. Pricing and Payment

4.1 Pricing:

  • Rates are displayed on our website and provided at time of booking

  • Airport transfers have flat rates as displayed

  • Local rides may use metered fares

  • Additional charges may apply for:

    • Extra passengers beyond vehicle capacity

    • Excessive luggage

    • Waiting time beyond 5 minutes at pickup

    • Additional stops en route

    • Late-night/early morning surcharges (11 PM – 5 AM)

4.2 Payment:

  • We accept cash, credit/debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express)

  • Mobile payments through our app

  • Corporate accounts available with invoicing

  • All prices are in US dollars

5. Customer Responsibilities

5.1 Behaviour:

  • Passengers must behave in a respectful manner

  • No smoking, vaping, or drug use in vehicles

  • No alcohol consumption by passengers under 21

  • No illegal activities

  • We reserve the right to refuse service for inappropriate behavior

5.2 Property:

  • Torrington Taxi is not responsible for lost or left-behind items

  • If you leave an item, contact us immediately at (860) 689-7752

  • We will hold found items for 30 days

6. Driver and Vehicle Standards

  • All drivers are licensed, background-checked, and insured

  • Vehicles are regularly inspected and maintained

  • Drivers adhere to all traffic laws and regulations

  • We maintain proper commercial insurance coverage

7. Liability

7.1 Transportation:

  • We carry commercial liability insurance as required by Connecticut law

  • Our liability is limited to the terms of our insurance policy

  • We are not liable for delays caused by traffic, weather, or unforeseen circumstances

7.2 Third-Party Services:

  • We are not responsible for third-party services (airlines, hotels, etc.)

  • Passengers are responsible for allowing sufficient time for airport check-ins

8. Privacy

  • We collect personal information necessary for providing services

  • We do not sell or share customer data with third parties for marketing

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of modified terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Litchfield County, Connecticut.
